Joe Costa

Joe Costa is a national security fellow with the Truman National Security Project and former vice president at The Cohen Group (2011–2020), where he grew and led the Middle East regional practice group. Prior to joining The Cohen Group, Mr. Costa was a senior research associate at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, working on U.S. national security and defense policy in the Middle East. He was also a fellow with the House Committee on Homeland Security in the summer of 2006. Mr. Costa has published analysis and commentaries on Middle East affairs in publications such as Talking Points Memo, The National Interest, and The Diplomat. He received a B.A. in philosophy from the George Washington University and an M.P.P. with honors from the University of Chicago.
