Ali Dabaje

Ali Dabaje is a program coordinator for the Brzezinski Chair in Global Security and Geostrategy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Previously, Ali was a member of the Middle East Program at CSIS. Prior to joining CSIS, Ali worked with a nonprofit that connected rising scholars with the Islamic Seminary of Najaf in Iraq. Ali also conducted research on how Islamic legal principles have been used to develop political thought, specifically focusing on elucidating political solutions to the historically tense politics of Lebanon. His research interests include the sociopolitical landscape of Shia Islam, constitution building, and the influence of religious thought on contemporary politics. Ali holds a BA in government and Near Eastern languages and civilizations from Harvard University.
