Alyssa Perez is the program coordinator for the Freeman Chair in China Studies at CSIS. Prior to joining CSIS, Ms. Perez graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in international studies, with a concentration in Asia and minor in Chinese language. As an undergraduate, Ms. Perez volunteered as an English teacher at the Chinese Mutual Aid Association in Chicago, IL. After graduating, she advanced her Chinese language skills at the Beijing Language and Culture University and earned a graduate certificate in Chinese and American Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Nanjing, China.
