
Anne Frederick is a program manager for the Human Rights Initiative at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Before joining CSIS, she worked as a program coordinator at the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) on the Mandela Washington Fellowship team. Anne has prior experience as a political and economic intern with the U.S. Department of State, where she worked with the U.S. Embassy to the Holy See. Alongside her coursework, she completed an internship with the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy and was selected for and participated in the Department of State’s Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program. During university, Anne completed and assisted with research projects on proportional representation and ranked choice voting, and she studied abroad in Florence, Italy. Anne graduated summa cum laude from Mount St. Mary’s University with a BA in philosophy, politics, and economics and Italian and a minor in theology.
