Briana Webster serves as the director of financial strategy and transformation, where she leads enterprise efforts to modernize financial operations, strengthen governance, and align financial capabilities with mission execution. She is responsible for advancing financial strategy, transforming planning and reporting frameworks, and driving integrated, data-informed decisionmaking across the organization. Prior to this role, Briana served as a senior adviser and financial transformation lead at MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory, where she led enterprise-wide initiatives to reengineer financial processes, improve data transparency, and redesign operating models to better support research execution. Earlier in her career, Briana spent over a decade at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she led transformation strategy and translated complex financial and operational challenges into actionable executive decision frameworks. She spearheaded the modernization of acquisition and financial systems, helping transition approximately 4,000 employees to an integrated enterprise platform. She also led department-wide assessments to strengthen internal controls, improve audit readiness, and enhance financial stewardship and regulatory compliance.
