Britta Glennon
Britta Glennon is an assistant professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and a senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Her research focuses on immigration and cross-border innovation, examining how globalization and public policy shape the allocation of talent, the location of R&D, and the competitiveness of firms. In particular, she studies how restrictions on immigration and international collaboration affect firms’ innovation strategies and the global distribution of knowledge Her work has been published in leading academic outlets, including Management Science, the Journal of Economic Perspectives, and Nature, and has been widely covered in national and international media such as the New York Times, The Economist, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as podcasts and radio programs including NPR’s Marketplace and the BBC. She has testified as an expert witness before the U.S. Senate, and her research has been cited in congressional testimony, reflecting its impact on policy debates at the highest level. She received a PhD in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University, an MPP in public policy from the University of Chicago, and a BA in economics and East Asian studies from Cornell University.
