Bushra Bataineh

Bushra Bataineh is an infrastructure development and finance specialist. Her research, under Stanford University’s Global Project Center, focused on comparative analysis of infrastructure delivery models with a focus on water delivery systems and project finance. Bushra has published articles on China’s role in infrastructure development in emerging markets, energy storage technologies, and water sector public-private partnerships. She had previously worked in infrastructure finance in energy, water, and transportation infrastructure. She joined Bechtel in 2019 and is currently based out of London. Bushra completed her Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering at Stanford University, M.S. in environmental fluid mechanics and hydrology at Stanford, and B.S. in hydrologic sciences and policy at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
