Caroline Smutny is a program coordinator and research assistant for the Critical Minerals Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In this role, she supports the project’s research agenda, business development, administrative management, and event coordination. Previously, she was a research intern with the Project on Prosperity and Development at CSIS. Prior to joining CSIS, she completed internships with the American Society of International Law and the Federal Trade Commission. She holds a BA from McGill University, where she studied political science, history, and statistics. She is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish.
