Christina Chan

Christina Chan is senior director of BRAC’s Climate Hub. In this capacity, she is leading efforts across the BRAC family to help vulnerable communities adapt to and manage the impacts of climate change. Previously, Christina served as the managing director and senior advisor for adaptation and resilience at the U.S. Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Change, providing strategic counsel to John Kerry on adaptation and loss & damage. She also played a pivotal role during the Obama administration in negotiating the critical adaptation and loss & damage articles of the Paris Agreement. Her contributions extend to shaping international initiatives, including the National Adaptation Plan Global Network and the Global Commission on Adaptation. Christina has a master's degree in urban and regional Planning with a concentration from Cornell University and a bachelor's degree in human biology from Stanford University.
