Cyrus Newlin is an Alfa Fellow (2019-2020) currently based in Moscow, Russia, and an adjunct fellow with the Russia and Eurasia Program. Previously, he was a research associate and program manager with the Russia and Eurasia Program, where he provided research, editing, and writing support to senior staff, oversaw program finances, proposal development, and project implementation, and organized regular public events, roundtables, and Track 2 meetings. His research interests include Russian foreign and security policy, U.S.-Russia relations, and coercive economic measures. Cyrus holds a B.A. in political science and Russian studies from Swarthmore College.
