Cyrus Newlin

Cyrus Newlin is a senior analyst at Ergo, a geopolitical advisory and intelligence firm based in New York City. Previously, he was an associate fellow in the Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where his research focused on Russian foreign and security policy, Russian energy strategy, sanctions, and Sino-Russian relations. He has worked in the Moscow office of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of European Security. Cyrus earned a master of international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a BA in political science and Russian studies from Swarthmore College (Phi Beta Kappa).
