Eric Farnsworth is a senior associate (non-resident) with the Americas Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He is a senior executive and professional with over 35 years of experience building the Americas policy and commercial agenda. He is currently a partner and Head of International Policy and Trade at Continental Strategy LLC. Prior to this, he headed the Americas Society/Council of the Americas in Washington for over 20 years. His career also includes almost a decade of service with the U.S. government, including the White House, State Department, and Office of the United States Trade Representative. Between his government and nonprofit leadership positions, he was a strategic consultant assisting Fortune 200 clients in understanding and navigating Washington. Among other topics, his expertise includes trade and investment, democratic governance and the challenge of authoritarianism, and U.S. foreign and economic policy. Eric is a sought-after keynote conference speaker and publishes and testifies frequently before Congress and other regional legislatures. He holds an MPA from Princeton.
