Erik Woodhouse is a senior associate (non-resident) with the Economics Program and Scholl Chair in International Business at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He is currently partner at Crowell & Moring LLP and a member of the firm’s international trade and financial services groups, where he advises clients on complying with economic sanctions and anti–money laundering rules and regulations. Prior to joining Crowell, Erik served as deputy assistant secretary for the Division for Counter Threat Finance and Sanctions at the U.S. Department of State, and earlier in his career also served in the Department of the Treasury’s Office of International Affairs and the Department of State’s Office of the Legal Adviser.
