Fabio Murgia is a data visualization designer with the iDeas Lab at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he specializes in translating complex datasets into effective data visualizations and infographics. He strives to render key research findings into compelling visual stories by leveraging the full range of information design techniques—from data graphics to 3D modeling and animation. Before joining CSIS, Murgia worked as a multimedia designer at New America, where he produced visualizations and interactive assets in support of federal policy research. He holds a BA in communications and an MA in public policy from the University of Sassari in Italy. During his studies, he interned at the press office of the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C. He joined CSIS in July 2023.
