Franck Gbaguidi
Franck Gbaguidi is the director for sustainability at the Eurasia Group, where he helps public and private sector organizations understand evolving sustainability trends and supports them in the design of solutions that turn political risks into opportunities. In this role, he analyzes geopolitical risk across a range of sustainability issues, with a focus on water resources, biodiversity policy, plastics pollution, and environmental litigation. Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Mr. Gbaguidi held various energy- and climate-related positions at the World Bank Group, including climate adviser to the managing director of the International Finance Corporation. He has also done research and consultancy work on carbon risk management for the European Investment Bank, on clean and domestic energy solutions for the United Nations Capital Development Fund, on North American energy policy for the Centre on Global Energy Policy, and on environmental crimes in sub-Saharan Africa for the Earth Institute. Franck holds three bachelor's degrees and four master's degrees, including a master of public policy (energy, resources, and sustainability) from Sciences Po Paris and a master of public administration (energy and environment) from Columbia University. He has been quoted by various media outlets, including Bloomberg, the New York Times, Reuters, and the Business Telegraph.
