
Han Chen is the program manager and research associate with the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he manages the Interpret: China project and conducts other research for the Freeman Chair. Prior to joining CSIS, he was an editorial fellow at Axios with a focus on U.S.-China relations and demographic trends. He also worked as a broadcaster with Radio Free Asia, where he focused on human rights in China and Beijing's influence abroad. His work has also appeared in Foreign Policy, The Diplomat, and Voice of America, among others. He graduated from Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York with an MA in international reporting, and he holds a BA in journalism with a minor in Jewish studies from The Pennsylvania State University.
