Joel Kolker

Joel Kolker currently serves as a senior advisor, author, and board member for several international organizations. He spent 18 years at the World Bank and, most recently, was the global lead for water and finance in the Water Practice. Prior to that, Kolker was the program manager of the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, the largest water think tank supporting analytical work in 70 emerging-market countries. He also served as the Africa representative for the Public Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility and as the Africa coordinator for the World Bank Institute. Before joining the World Bank, he was a U.S. Foreign Service officer at the U.S. Agency for International Development, where he worked on infrastructure development, decentralization, and housing finance projects in Africa and Asia.
