Joseph Aldy

Joseph Aldy is professor of the practice of public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, a university fellow at Resources for the Future, and a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research focuses on climate change policy, energy policy, and mortality risk reduction. He also serves as the faculty chair of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government. From 2009 to 2010, he was special assistant to the president for energy and environment at the White House. Aldy previously served as a fellow at Resources for the Future (2005–2008), worked on the staff to the President's Council of Economic Advisers (1997–2000), and served as codirector of the Harvard Project on International Climate Agreements and codirector of the International Energy Workshop.
