Keiichiro Nakazawa
Keiichiro Nakazawa is a specialist in international development and development economics with experience in the public and private sectors. In 2024 he was appointed as Managing Executive Officer of Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. Founded in 1946, Nippon Koei is Japan's leading consulting and engineering company, with a foundation of technology and management capabilities cultivated through domestic and international infrastructure-related businesses. Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. became the core company of the Integrated Design and Engineering Holdings Group when it was established in 2023. Mr. Nakazawa’s responsibilities there include, but are not limited to, General Manager of the Regional Strategy Office. Mr. Nakazawa’s appointment at Nippon Koei followed his three-and-a-half-year term as Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Board of Directors from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, he had a career spanning more than three decades at JICA, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, and the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund of Japan (OECF), where he focused mainly on development cooperation with Asian countries and operational strategies for official development assistance. In terms of overseas assignments, Mr. Nakazawa served as the Chief Representative of the JICA Myanmar Office (2015–17), the JICA USA Office (2010–14), and Representative of the OECF India Office (1991–94). Mr. Nakazawa received a master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He has been a Japanese government-certified SME management consultant since 2002.
