Kendra LaFave is a program coordinator with the Hess Center for New Frontiers at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In this role, she supports the Hess Center’s mission of analyzing transformational macrotrends and fostering future-oriented leaders. Prior to her time at CSIS, Kendra worked at the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation Global, where she supported capacity-building trainings in international research, data, and technology security for the U.S. Department of State. She also previously interned with the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Peacekeeping Operations. Kendra graduated summa cum laude with a BA in international affairs from James Madison University. She is pursuing a MA in international science and technology policy from George Washington University, concentrating in outer space policy. Kendra is a Mercatus Center Frédéric Bastiat fellow for the 2024-25 academic year.
