
Lien Phan is a senior staff accountant at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). In this role, Lien is responsible for recording financial transactions, general ledger review and reconciliations, monthly closing review and analysis, and accounting for revenue recognition, pledges, and investments. Lien has over 18 years of experience in the financial and accounting fields, both in nonprofit organizations and private industry. Prior to CSIS, Lien was an accountant for ExxonMobil, performing project finance responsibilities for several of ExxonMobil’s exploration and production projects in Asia and attending numerous training courses in accounting and project financial management. Lien has a BS degree from Vietnam National University, a certificate in accounting and financial management from Swinburne University of Technology, and is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting management at the University of Maryland.
