Madeline Clough is associate director for congressional and government affairs at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she promotes engagement with congressional members and staff and the executive branch. She organizes briefings, supports the congressional testimony of CSIS experts, and strengthens connections between CSIS programs and the federal government. Prior to joining CSIS, she served as program director and as a program assistant for the US-Asia Institute (USAI), organizing over 30 programs annually. These programs included educational exchanges, congressional delegations, the USAI internship program, and briefings with congressional members and staff, diplomats and embassy staff, and thought leaders. Madeline previously consulted the Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs, composed of 21 federal agencies and departments, on youth engagement, and she interned in the human rights, healthcare, marketing, and accounting fields. She holds a B.A. in international relations from Colgate University.
