Maria Krol Sinclair
Program Coordinator and Research Assistant, Freeman Chair in China StudiesMaria Krol Sinclair is program coordinator and research assistant for the CSIS Freeman Chair in China Studies, where she oversees programmatic outreach and supports the program’s research on Chinese politics, military and security policy, economic and industrial policy, and China’s relations with its neighbors and major powers. Prior to her current role, she interned with CSIS’s Reconnecting Asia Project, where she mapped and analyzed China’s infrastructure development in Eurasia. In 2015, Ms. Sinclair was awarded a Fulbright fellowship to Xi’an, China, where she researched rural labor economy with Stanford University’s Freeman Spogli Institute. She graduated from Pitzer College (Claremont College Consortium) in 2015 with a B.A. (honors) in political science and modern languages.
