Matthew Melino is an associate fellow with the CSIS Europe Program, where he provides research and program support on a range of issues, including developments in the Arctic, security and defense trends in northern Europe, and the evolution of NATO and transatlantic relations. Previously, he served as a research assistant with the Europe Program, analyzing political, economic, and security developments across the euro zone. Mr. Melino has also worked with the U.S. Department of State on issues of conflict prevention and crisis response. He received his B.A. in government from Franklin & Marshall College and his M.A. in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
