Nicki Ghazarian

Nicki Ghazarian is currently based in Lusaka, Zambia working as policy adviser for Fenix International, a next-generation energy company. In this role, she examines the existing clean energy policy landscape within Zambia and other countries throughout South and East Africa, to aid in Fenix's mission to improve the quality of life of its customers. Previously, she was a research associate for the CSIS Americas Program. Her research projects focused on U.S. foreign policy towards the Americas in areas such as international security, economic development, and transitional justice. Nicki earned her B.A. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania, with double minors in English and Hispanic studies. Prior to joining the Americas Program, she interned for the Think Tank and Civil Society Program at UPenn that conducts research on policy institutes around the world and publishes the annual “Global Go-To Think Tank Index.”
