
Nicolas Jude Larnerd is the senior program manager for the Humanitarian Agenda at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and a global fellow for the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies at the Watson Institute of Brown University. Larnerd's expertise focuses on humanitarian access, sanctions, countering the financing of terrorism, and gender. Prior to CSIS, Larnerd worked in the Gender and Human Rights Branch at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), supporting gender-based violence response and data analysis. Larnerd brings two years of field experience in responding to the migration and COVID-19 crisis for Project Elea at Eleonas Refugee Camp in Greece. Larnerd earned an MA in human rights and democracy from the Università di Padova and a BA in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
