
Nicolas Jude Larnerd (they/them) is a program manager and research associate for the Humanitarian Agenda at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and a global fellow at the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies at the Watson Institute of Brown University. They work at the intersection of humanitarian affairs and policy, conflict, and peacebuilding with thematic specializations in gender and climate change. Prior to CSIS, they worked on the gender-based violence (GBV) team in the Gender and Human Rights Branch at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). They have two years of on- and off-site field experience with Project Elea in Eleonas Refugee Camp, Greece, as a program coordinator responding to the migration crisis. Jude holds a MA degree in human rights and democracy from the Università di Padova and a BA degree in history from UCLA. Their experiences across the humanitarian aid landscape have brought them to strive for continuous improvement in humanitarian operations and foreign policy.
