Nina Prieur

Nina Prieur is director of strategic communications at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she develops campaigns and drives media engagement to inform policymakers and the public about critical global issues. As deputy to the chief communications officer, she helps oversee the Center’s press, digital and social media, broadcasting, publications, and congressional affairs operations. Previously, she served as managing director of communications for the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, positioning its $50 billion investment portfolio across 110 countries. As director of strategic communications for the White House’s Prosper Africa initiative, she worked across 17 federal agencies to advance U.S.-Africa trade and investment. Earlier in her career, Prieur was a professor at Georgetown University and Duke University, where she specialized in bridging research and public impact. She holds a PhD in performance studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS from the Northwestern University School of Communication.
