Peter Bronez is chief data officer at IQT, the not-for-profit strategic investor identifying and leveraging emerging commercial technology for mission use. As CDO, Bronez owns IQT’s data and analytics strategy. He is accountable for overall data quality and champions responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI). Previously, Bronez led IQT’s investments in AI startups on behalf of the national security community as senior vice president for enterprise technology. He guided market research, startup diligence, and coordination other investment areas. Bronez worked closely with IQT’s mission partners and portfolio companies to identify dual-use opportunities for emerging commercial technologies. Prior to IQT, Peter ran a series of data science teams in the private sector, intelligence agencies, and Department of Defense. Peter began his career as an operations research systems analyst for the Joint Warfare Analysis Center and deployed to Afghanistan twice in that capacity. Peter graduated from the William & Mary with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He has received the Joint Civilian Commendation Award and been recognized as a Northern Virginia Technology Council Tech 100 Executive.
