Program Coordinator, Diversity and Leadership in International Affairs Project

Rafi Demerath is a program coordinator for the Diversity and Leadership in International Affairs Project (DLIA) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where she supports DLIA’s mission to provide equal opportunity for all CSIS employees to realize their full potential, cultivate strategic external partnerships, and re-envision foreign policy using a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lens. In this role, she fuses her passions for policy, international relations, and social equity while providing programmatic and administrative support, organizing public and private events, and writing internal and external reports. Prior to joining DLIA, she worked with the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area, advancing UN policy at the local, state, and national level, as well as the Friends Committee on National Legislation, where she lobbied Congress to build sustainable peace through U.S. foreign policy. Rafi graduated from Amherst College with Latin honors with a BA in sociology and political science.
