Richard Crespin

Richard Crespin serves as CEO of CollaborateUp and as a senior associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He advises businesses, governments, and nonprofits on how to work together to solve big problems. At CollaborateUp, he co-creates potential solutions to shared problems. For CSIS, he works as part of its Project on Prosperity and Development, conducting research and hosting multisector dialogues on how to improve lives in emerging economies while addressing U.S. foreign policy goals. Richard has worked across the private, public, and civil sectors, including with the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, the American Red Cross, and the Inter-American Development Bank. He has served as executive director of Corporate Responsibility Officers Association and president of SharedXpertise Media, publishers of Corporate Responsibility Magazine. He has been an adjunct professor at George Washington University on public-private partnerships and a featured lecturer on social innovation at Georgetown University and at the Harvard School of Public Health. Richard is an alumnus of both The George Washington University and the Harvard Business School.
