Thibault Denamiel

Thibault Denamiel is a fellow with the Economics Program and Scholl Chair in International Business at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). His expertise includes the intersection of trade and U.S. national security, industrial policy, critical supply chains de-risking, and commercial diplomacy. His previous work includes researching the role of immigration policy on innovation in critical sectors, economic security tools such as export controls, and outbound investment screening; mapping security-critical supply chains; and transatlantic cooperation on climate and trade policy. His work has been featured in Politico, CNN, South China Morning Post, Voice of America, and other publications. Before joining CSIS, Thibault had professional experiences with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the International Trade Administration, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, among others. Thibault holds an MA in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA in international relations with honors from New York University.
