Yumi Araki is a senior producer and the editorial lead with the iDeas Lab where she supervises and helps craft narratives that appear in the iDeas Lab’s digital products. She manages the center’s suite of podcasts, and serves as the lead mentor for CSIS’s Journalism Bootcamp. She comes to CSIS with experience in radio, print, and video journalism. Previously, she worked as a producer for the show "On Point" at Boston's NPR affiliate. She also covered the 2016 presidential election for The Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan’s largest daily newspaper, and produced science-themed videos for Harvard and MIT. She holds an M.A. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, and a B.S. from Boston University's College of Communication. She joined CSIS in December 2017.
