Special Edition featuring Ksenia Sobchak - Russian Roulette Episode #50

In this special edition of Russian Roulette (which marks a momentous 50 episodes!) we welcome to the studio Ksenia Sobchak, candidate for president of the Russian Federation, for a short, in-person conversation to complement her public remarks at CSIS on February 6. We discuss her candidacy for president—what has surprised her, what has frustrated her, why she made the decision to enter politics in the first place, and what she hopes to achieve. We also talk about her vision for Russia at home and abroad; U.S.-Russia relations; and more.

You can view Ms. Sobchak’s public remarks at CSIS, here: https://www.csis.org/events/russias-post-authoritarian-future-conversation-russian-presidential-candidate-ksenia-sobchak. And, if you read Russian, you can view her campaign platform, here: https://sobchakprotivvseh.ru/steps123.

As always, keep sending us mailbag questions! If you would like to have your question answered on the podcast, send it to us! Email rep@csis.org and put “Russian Roulette” in the subject line. And, if you have one, include your Twitter handle, so we can notify you publicly when we answer your question (or, if you don’t want us to, tell us that). We look forward to hearing from you.
