Host Kathleen McInnis spoke with Elizabeth Shackelford, Senior Fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and former career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, about her time as a Foreign Service Officer in South Sudan. Together, they looked at her role in extending the United Nation’s patrol and protection of women against South Sudanese security forces.
