This project catalogs a wide-range of existing university-university partnerships between American and Indian institutions and provide grants to U.S. colleges and universities that expand partnerships with Indian counterparts
The project was made possible by our donor US Department of State (DOS)-Bureau of South and Central Asia and collaborator, University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). It was a one-year project from 1 October 2018 to 31 December 2020.

This project aimed to
- catalog a wide-range of existing university-university partnerships between American and Indian institutions, noting the schools, program areas, and scope of each.
- strengthen the strategic partnership between the US and India through collaboration in higher education, research on key issue areas, related economic growth, and people-to-people linkages.
- provide grants to U.S. colleges and universities that created or expanded partnerships with Indian counterparts.
Outcomes
- The project produced policy recommendations on enhancing U.S.-India partnerships and created a mechanism for grants to eligible U.S. universities to enhance current or start new partnerships with Indian universities.
