2019 Elections
The political upheavals that have characterized 2017 and 2018 will culminate in the European parliament elections in May 2019, along with other important elections throughout the year (e.g., Ukraine). These elections will show Europe how strong populist and extreme parties have grown, and may have a long-lasting impact on the stability of the European Union institutions. The consequences of Brexit and of continued Russian influence will also be felt across the continent.
