Strengthening Primary Health Care at the Community Level

The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of primary health care services in countries around the world. Delivering services to people at the community level, by doctors, nurses, and caregivers they know and trust, strengthens the performance of the health system and peoples’ confidence in it. As Covid-19 vaccines become available worldwide, primary health care providers have an important role to play in delivering them and helping people make informed choices about vaccines as well as other critical health services.
