Tracking Violence in the North Caucasus
Since January 2004, CSIS has tracked, almost daily, violent incidents occurring in the North Caucasus. Through our database we seek to assess developing trends in incidents of violence including their frequency and locality. Most notably in recent months, we have also followed trends in suicide bombings, which have become increasingly common in the region.
For results of this project, see our quarterly reports.
