Gender
Humanitarian crises have disproportional effects on individuals based on gender and sexual identity, with women and persons of diverse gender identification possessing significant vulnerabilities and protection concerns
In humanitarian contexts, pre-existing gender-based inequality, discrimination, and exploitation may become exacerbated. The Humanitarian Agenda’s programming seeks not only to enhance the protection of such communities through the evolution and improvement of humanitarian programs, but also recognizes the valuable role that gender equality and inclusivity serve in peacebuilding, development, and prosperity.
