The Joint Service Innovation Discussion
The Joint Service Innovation Discussion (JSID) is a forum in which select, innovative junior military officers drawn from across the four services come together to consider important issues facing the Department of Defense
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) closed the applications period for the inaugural cohort of the 2014-2015 Joint Service Innovation Discussion (JSID) program. The twin purposes of the JSID are to offer today’s top defense policy leaders the perspectives of junior military officers who seek to follow them, and to foster those junior leaders’ innovative thinking and strategic development for tomorrow. This program seeks voluntary participants from across the U.S. military services who can attend quarterly meetings in Washington D.C., with a demonstrated ability to innovate and think critically. The JSID affords junior officers the opportunity to bring creative, structured thinking to defense topics, interact with senior leaders, network with experts, and develop their strategic thought process. Officers interested in applying for the program should monitor this page for further announcements.
