To help navigate the wide world of missilery, the CSIS Missile Defense Project recently released a newly upgraded website to track and explain both missile threats and missile defenses alike.

On August 17, the CSIS Missile Defense Project welcomed General Glen D. VanHerck, Commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, to discuss his approach to rapidly developing and fielding capabilities for the defense of North America.

Dr. Rob Soofer, Senior Associate, CSIS testified before the U.S. Senate Armed Services, Strategic Forces Subcommittee on missile defense strategy, policies, and programs. He was accompanied by Vice Admiral Jon Hill, Lieutenant General Daniel Karbler, General Glen VanHerck, Ms. Leonor Tomero, and Mr. Ankit Panda.

As the United States begins its preparations for arms control negotiations with Russia, it should reject any preconceived notion of what animates Moscow’s opposition to missile defense.
