Strategic Japan features analysis and recommendations from Japan’s leading foreign policy scholars on regional and global challenges and the implications for the U.S.-Japan alliance. Each year, the Japan Chair invites Japanese experts to CSIS as short-term visiting scholars, where they have the opportunity to interact with leading U.S. experts and policymakers and publish papers on key themes, such as Japan’s Free and Open Indo-Pacific concept and the future of the Japan-China relations.
