Looking at the prospects for politics and foreign policy in the Republic of Korea

The 2012 Korean Presidential Elections

The CSIS Korea Chair has followed developments in South Korean domestic politics running up to the December 19, 2012 ROK presidential elections. This project hosted a series of periodic roundtable discussions with Korea experts, practitioners, and scholars looking at the prospects for political change in the ROK in 2013, and what such change means for alliance politics, trade, and regional security.  These roundtables in Washington, D.C. were informed by ongoing consultations with key stakeholders in Seoul.
