U.S.-Philippines Strategic Initiative
The Southeast Asia Program, with support from the Manila-based think tank, the Albert del Rosario Institute, and the Philippine Trade Foundation, launched the U.S.-Philippines Strategic Initiative (USPSI) in May 2015. The initiative is a three-year project that will play a leading role in advancing a high-level policy dialogue on the U.S.-Philippine alliance in the context of the U.S. rebalance to Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.
As part of USPSI, CSIS published a report on the U.S.-Philippines alliance in August 2015. The report can be viewed here. Additional activities of the USPSI include the Philippines Forum Speaker Series and sustained research on the U.S.-Philippine relationship.
