Statement of Alberto J. Mora, retired General Counsel of the U.S. Navy
Mora argues that Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib are “identifiable causes of U.S. combat deaths in Iraq – as judged by their effectiveness in recruiting insurgent fighters into combat” in his testimony before the Senate Committee on Armed Services, hearing on the Treatment of Detainees in U.S. Custody. June 17, 2008.
