India
India is a rising economic and military partner and the dominant power in the South Asia region. India retains an independent approach to foreign policy and international relations, but successive administrations in both the United States and India have prioritized the bilateral relationship due to a growing range of shared interests, such as climate change, development goals, defense cooperation, the Global South, and evolving manufacturing supply chains. CSIS experts analyze internal Indian political and economic trends, providing insight into U.S. policy towards India and helping to inform strategic decisionmaking at a pivotal moment in the relationship.
