Four Former Supreme Allied Commanders of Europe—General Philip M. Breedlove, General James L. Jones, General Joseph W. Ralston, and General Wesley K. Clark—join Dr. Seth G. Jones to discuss the implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. They will share their perspectives on how this invasion shapes the near- and long-term relationships among NATO allies, particularly as the Alliance works toward a new Strategic Concept to be released in June at the Madrid Summit. They will also consider how a Europe can leverage this moment to build a stronger security framework moving forward, including through a more robust EU defense policy and EU-NATO cooperation.

This event is made possible by general support to CSIS.
