The South China Sea Conference @ CSIS

An annual conference designed for in-depth discussion and analysis of U.S. and Asian policy options on the South China Sea issue, hosted by the Southeast Asia Program and Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative

Since 2011, the annual CSIS South China Sea Conference has brought together a group of all-star speakers from the United States and throughout the region, including from various claimant countries. Panelists address recent developments and their implications for the rule of law in the region and the strategic balance of power. 

Past keynote speakers have included Senator John McCain, Representative Randy Forbes, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific Daniel Russel, former Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific Kurt Campbell, and Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs Randall G. Schriver.
