Dracopoulos iDeas Lab

The Andreas C. Dracopoulos iDeas Lab enhances CSIS's work, reach, and impact with the latest digital media, multimedia, and design

The Andreas C. Dracopoulos iDeas Lab is CSIS's internal innovation incubator. It combines the best of web development, video, audio, and design to communicate policy solutions for the world’s greatest foreign policy and national security challenges to a wide audience.

CSIS is the only think-tank that has in-house web developers, designers, animators, and video and audio producers who create innovative and engaging products in the international policy space. We believe in a cross-disciplinary approach to telling policy stories. Our team's diverse backgrounds and skills bring the best of all types of media together to create original and innovative digital and print experiences.

CSIS experts partner with our producers, designers, and developers to adapt their efforts into a range of compelling products. The videos, podcasts, websites, reports, visualizations, and other products the iDeas Lab creates are all designed to engage our audience and propel policy discourse forward. Our work has accumulated millions of engagements, reaching a global audience in government, the media, industry, and beyond.

The iDeas Lab was created in 2011 through the generous support of CSIS trustee Andreas C. Dracopoulos. Our work has been featured in congressional hearings and media outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and more.
