Assam approves Assam Solar Power Generation Promotion Policy, 2025 with an aim to generate 3500 MW solar capacity by 2030. The new policy offers industrial incentives, single window clearances, transmission charge waiver, electricity duty, etc.

Goa notifies the Goa Transport Aggregator Guidelines 2025. The state government has formulated these guidelines to regulate app-based taxi services and no aggregator can operate or On-board Drivers without obtaining a valid licence from the Government.

Land Acquisition and Labor Regulations  

Punjab launches Easy registry scheme for properties. Under the scheme property registration can be done at any office of sub registrar in the district.

Punjab implements Land Pooling Policy. The pooled land will be developed by state agencies to provide modern infrastructure, including roads, water supply, sewerage, drainage, and electricity.

Punjab amends Punjab Management and Transfer of Municipal Properties Rules, 2021. The revised rules reduce time period to six months for depositing the sale price by allottees for properties sold by the urban local bodies.

Infrastructure and Governance

Andhra Pradesh announces suspension of Mobile Dispensing Units (MDU). Under this scheme essential commodities were door delivered to consumers. The state government will instead re-introduce fair price shops to distribute the commodities from June 1st, 2025.

Karnataka approves the North-South Corridor. Under this corridor a 16.7 km tunnel road will be built linking Esteem Mall at Hebbal Junction to Central Silk Board Junction in HSR Layout. After technical reviews are completed the state government will float a global tender either on a hybrid model or BOOT (build–own–operate–transfer) model.

Maharashtra approves ‘My House, My Right’ housing policy. Under this policy 3.5 million affordable homes will be constructed for the underprivileged by 2030. To support housing construction the policy will establish a state-owned land bank.

Water and Sanitation

Bihar approves drinking water projects in Darbhanga and Aurangabad under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. In Aurangabad, water distribution network will be developed to provide new water connections. Darbhanga will receive a more comprehensive infrastructure overhaul with household water connections, distribution network, tube wells etc.

Himachal Pradesh issues Model bye-laws for Solid Waste Management and Sanitation, 2025. The bye-laws focus on proper segregation of waste at source, door-to-door collection, imposition of penalties for violations and recovery of user charges from every household and establishment.
