Andhra Pradesh releases draft regulations for private hospitals, diagnostic centers, and clinics offering AYUSH (ayurveda, yoga, and naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and homeopathy) services. As per the new regulations, registrations will be made mandatory for every private AYUSH facility.

Delhi suspends the Central Procurement Agency's (CPA) procurement functions as an interim measure. Delhi has directed state-run hospitals to obtain medicines and medical equipment on their own until a new centralized procurement framework is decided. The CPA, established in 1994, is an agency which procures medicines and surgical equipment for all Delhi government-run hospitals.

Gujarat launches a “Scheme to Provide Assistance for Organ Transplants of Kidney, Liver, Heart, Pancreas, etc., and for Operations Including Robotic Surgeries for Patients Belonging to the Scheduled Tribe Community of the State.” The new welfare scheme for Scheduled Tribe (ST) patients suffering from serious illnesses comes with an allocation of $0.2 million (INR 2 crore) for the Financial Year 2026-27.

Haryana amends HERC (Electricity Supply Code) Regulations, 2014. The regulations, issued by the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC), relax surcharge norms for excess contract demand. Consumers will no longer have to pay a surcharge if their power draw remains within 110 percent of the approved contract demand. Earlier, any draw beyond 105 percent attracted a 25 percent surcharge on total electricity charges.
